It is with profound sadness in our hearts that Alan Moir has passed away.

Alan Moir, born February 17, 1969, of Lake Havasu City, Arizona and Duncan, BC died peacefully at home on May 21, 2018. He will be remembered lovingly by his Mom, Nancy Hamling, Father, Jim Moir, Step-father, Don Hamling, Step-mom, Lynda Moir (Gris), Sister Shelley Field and husband Nicholas Field, Sister Melanie Moir and husband Giorgio Riviera, and nephew Leonardo Riviera, and numerous aunts and uncles. He is also survived by his Grandmother, Eleanor Moir.

Alan was born in Toronto, then moved to Lake Havasu at age 13. After graduating from high school, he moved to Duncan for 7 years, where he attended Vancouver Island University, before returning to Lake Havasu. After many years working for Murphy Broadcasting, he became Vice-President and Station Manager of their 7 radio stations. Alan, a bachelor and a loner, apart from his close knit circle of friends and his family, was dedicated to his job and earned the respect and appreciation of everyone he encountered. Alan was also noted for his love and knowledge of music and the entertainment industry.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Lake Havasu on June 16, 2018. Another Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, August 19, 2018 at Honeymoon Bay RV Park.

Everyone who has been enriched by a connection to Alan, will always cherish memories of him - he will be in our hearts forever.
