December 12, 1947 - June 9, 2022
It is with great sadness that the family announce that Al Weston, of Duncan B.C., passed away aged 74 on June 9, 2022 at Cowichan District Hospital after a brief battle with cancer.
Al was born in Kamloops, B. C. on December 12, 1947 to Sydney and Hendrika Moss Weston. He was predeceased by his parents and his son David Foster-Weston.
Al will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by his daughters Sheri Foster-Weston (Sean Edwards) of Sooke and Tiffany Weston (Dave Wardle) of Nanaimo, his grandchildren Tyler, Owen, Autumn and Grayson, his brother Bruce (the late Carole Marshall) of New Westminster, his sister Heather (Bryan Lundstrom) of Grand Forks, nephew Eric and niece Analisa.
Al loved the ocean and spent many years with the CDN Coast Guard. Prior to that, he had a career with the BC Liquor Board. Al had a great eye for design and was a talented amateur architect. An avid reader he also wrote poetry while at sea. "The Blues" was the music that spoke to him best and in younger years the dance floor was his happy place.
Al was a wonderful cook. He had very eclectic interests, an easy going manner and made friends easily.
The family would like to thank Dr. Ibrahim and all who cared for Al during his stay at Cowichan District Hospital. Special Thanks to all of Al's friends, especially at Duncan Manor, who helped him over the years. We appreciate your kindness. Private service to be held at a future date.
