Anne Filgate

June 14, 1925 - February 23, 2020
Anne was born on June 14th, 1925 in Poland and passed away on February 23rd, 2020 in Duncan, BC at the age of 94 years. Predeceased by her husband Bill; son Ron; grandsons Trevor Filgate and Dane Kirby; brothers Nick, Bill and Alec Lachmanetz. She is survived by her children Lavina Kirby, Sharon Farrell (Gordon), Robert, Kenneth, and Daryl Filgate; grandchildren Melissa Williams (Brad), Bryan Farrell, Dustin Filgate, Sterling Filgate, Jennifer Howitt, and Blake Kirby; as well as several much loved great-granchildren.
Mum was a wonderful cook and baker. Her greatest love was her family. She belonged to the Lake Bay Hill Hospital Auxiliary for several years and her Christmas Cakes were a big hit at the Bazaars. She volunteered at the Sassy Lion Thrift Store for eight years.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2020 from 1- 3 pm in the Heritage Hall at First Memorial Funeral Services, 375 Brae Road, Duncan. We can say goodbye with your favourite stories.
