After a three - year Battle with cancer it is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Arthur in the Cowichan District Hospital on July 29th, 2016. He leaves to mourn his loving wife Margaret of 46 years, 2 Sons; Scott (Debbie), Clint (Leah), 6 Grandchildren; Chelsea (Justin), Cassie (Cameron), Jesse, Jacob, Cameron, and Emily; 2 - Great Grandchildren, Hayden and Prestley, 3 Sisters; Kaye (Archie-predeceased), Alice (Dick) and Lindy (Moe), and many nieces and nephews.

Bart was born in Prince Rupert, BC. where he graduated high school and later moved with his family to Victoria.

After spending many years in the Marine Industry and driving off road Logging Trucks, Bart retired at 65 and spent his remaining years driving dump truck for his son Scott.

Bart’s favorite Bible verse was the 23rd Psalm. He will be lovingly remembered by his family as a gentle soul who loved to add humor and fun to any room.

The family would like to thank the Doctors, Nurses and staff of the Cowichan District Hospital and the Chemainus Emergency Hospital for their excellent care of Arthur.

In lieu of flowers donation may be made in Bart’s memory to the Cowichan District Hospital Foundation, Suite #4, 466 Trans Canada, Duncan, BC, V9L 3R6.

A Memorial service will be held at the Bethel Baptist Church 463 Ypres Street, Duncan, BC at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 13th, followed by a gathering in the church hall.
