Bhanu (Andy) born in Ludhiana, Punjab India on January 26th, 1932 passed away peacefully on March 2nd, 2020 at the age of 88. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years Madhuri, sons Rajan (Freeza), Romi (Harjinder), and daughters Vinita and Aunjali, 4 grandsons, 4 granddaughters and 1 great grandson.
Bhanu and Madhuri along with their daughter Vinita immigrated to Canada in 1957 and have called Duncan their home ever since. He started his career in Honeymoon Bay, then moved to Crofton Pulp Mill in 1964, eventually transferring to Crofton Newsprint for the start up of #1 paper machine where he worked until his retirement.

Over the span of 63 years in Duncan, his accomplishments were many, most notably:
· Chief Ranger of International Order of Foresters (IOF)
· Candidate for Alderman
· School Board Trustee
· Member of the Chamber of Commerce
· Served on the Centennial Committee
· Served on the Duncan-North Cowichan Citizen's Assembly

Bhanu was known for his love of music and ballroom dancing. He loved the outdoors, most particularly boating and camping with his family.
Special thanks to the nurses and doctors at Cowichan District Hospital for their compassion and kindness during his brief illness.
