Our family is heartbroken to announce the passing of Bob at CDH after a very short battle with cancer. He was taken way too soon from us.
Bob was born and raised in Victoria, BC to Vern & Georgina Exton. Survived by his wife of 46 years Penny, daughters: Kelly (Jim), Kari (Terry) grandchildren: Kasey (Steven), Jessica (Randy), Makenna & Kadin, great grandchild: Mylee, sisters: Robin & Sharon, brother/sister in laws, Uncle, cousins, many nieces & nephews and many close friends.
Bob was a mechanic for many years in the Valley, finally retiring from Crofton Auto where he worked with long-time friend Geoff Hopps.
Bob spent many years involved in racing, bowling, fishing, golfing and the ATV club. He lived life to the fullest in whatever he was involved in. Finally finishing his Model A after 40+ years. He also enjoyed his morning coffee with the Boys Club at A&W and Mid Island Engine.
Our family would like to extend a BIG Thank You to Dr. Bryan Bass and his staff, Home Care Nurses Kelly & Dale for the short, but exceptional care and advice given for Bob and our family.
He was a very strong man and very proud of his family.
A celebration of Bob’s life will be held on September 9, 2017 from 1 - 4pm at North Cowichan Fire Hall, 5851 Duncan St, Duncan.
