Bruce Alldred of Duncan BC passed away at Cowichan Hospice House on Friday, March 11, 2022 at the age of 89 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his spouse of 66 ½ years Evelyn; his children: Linda (Don), Brenda, Michael (Kerry), and Carol (Bryan); 17 grandchildren; 17 ¾ great grandchildren; his siblings Betty and Barry (Diane); and numerous extended family and friends.
Bruce was predeceased by his parents Neil and Irene Alldred, sister Dorleen Bell, and twin sons Robert and Gordon. Bruce was born in Redvers, SK and, at the age of 7, moved with his family to Lake Cowichan. He was a logger all his life, working throughout the Cowichan Valley and North Island.
In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling, gardening, and most off all spending time with his grandchildren. The family would like to thank Dr. Sohn, the staff at CDH, Cowichan Community Care Aids and Nurses, and especially the staff at Cowichan Hospice House.
Memorial donations in honour of Bruce may be made directly to Cowichan Hospice House. At Bruce's request there will be no formal service.
