Bryon Douglas Magee
February 13, 1951 - September 22, 2017
Born February 13,1951 in Middleton , N.S. passed away September 22, 2017 in Chemainus, B.C. after a brief battle with cancer.
Bryon began working as a machinist on submarines in Halifax, joined the R.C.M.P. in 1975 and was posted to Chemainus, Port Hardy, Merritt, Port McNeill, and Parksville where he retired.
He happily spent his spare time, before and after retirement, tinkering at Highway 4 Auto Salvage in Coombs. He kept many a vehicle afloat for his family.
Bryon was a true handyman and after moving to Chemainus, he completed his final and most challenging home renovation.
Bryon could always be counted on to support community groups like Rotary or the Legion. He also made time for travelling the world.
He loved the game of hockey, playing goalie when younger and became a season ticket holder for the Cowichan Capitals.
Bryon is survived by his wife, Helen Fowler, his children Kelly (John), Erin Orr (Shaun), and his best friend & grandson, Grayson.
Also left to mourn his passing are, sister in-law Laraine Fowler (Murray McCallum) siblings, Glen, Allen, Sheila and their families.
He was predeceased by his parents Doug and Edna Magee in N.S. and his parents in-law Lars and Peggy Fowler in Chemainus.
Bryon was cremated and a Celebration of his Life for family and friends will be held at the Chemainus Legion Branch 191 on October 21, 2017 at 1:00.
