Carol-Ann Vessey who passed peacefully surrounded by family in the Cowichan District Hospital on March 13th, 2022, at 1730 hours. Carol-Ann was a sister, cousin, wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her husband Robert (Bob) Vessey; sons: Rodney (Michelle) Vessey and Devin (Ikuko) Vessey; her beautiful grandchildren: Keira, Amy and Alyssa Vessey as well as her younger brother Bobby Lusier. She was predeceased by her mother Myrtle Joan Lusier (nee Lowrey), father Leo Lusier, and younger brother Curt Eckart. Carol-Ann and Bob were married on September 22nd, 1962 in the Lake Cowichan United Church. Carol-Ann was known for her infectious smile, kind heart and strength as an independent woman.
Known throughout the community to everyone as "Mrs. Vessey", Carol-Ann enjoyed bowling, golfing, bingo and playing crib on Friday nights with her close friends. As per the request of Carol-Ann, in absence of a funeral and Celebration of Life, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospital Auxiliary of CDH where she spent decades of her life as a heartfelt volunteer, dedicated to taking care of those in need.
