In Loving Memory ~
With deep sadness, we announce the passing on September 24, 2022, of Carolyn Isobel Lloyd-Smith, mom, sister and great friend.
Carolyn is survived by partner Richard Hall, daughters Claire and Alana, sisters Louise and Claire, brothers(Drs) Rob and Geoffrey plus nieces and nephews.
She was born August 11 1948 in Oxford, England. She grew up in Montreal. Upon graduation from McGill University she worked for the Royal Bank of Canada eventually transferring to Vancouver.
She had a wonderful joie de vivre and fashion flair which led her to start a popular women's fashion and home décor store "From A to Zebra" in Parksville. She eventually went to Lake Cowichan where she met many new friends at the Seniors Centre Bridge Club.
Carolyn met her 4 year battle against cancer with courage, class and stoicism. Many thanks to Drs Fuch, Shenkier, Masuda, brother Rob and staffs of BC Cancer Society, Cowichan Hospital Oncology and the regional Palliative Care Society for giving us more quality time with her than was expected.
A celebration of Life will take place at a time yet to be determined. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to BC Cancer Society.
