Remembering ~
Carson was born in Duncan and lived most of his life on Vancouver Island. He was kind, funny, and always had something interesting to talk about.
With many talents, including music, math, science and cooking, Carson struggled to find his life direction, but had finally decided to follow his father to the woods. He was halfway through the Forestry Resource Technology program at VIU.
Carson loved family gatherings, and he was adored by both grandmothers and children for his patience and kindness.
He is survived by his parents, Don Holmes (Mel) and Kathryn Holopainen (Scott). His sister Raili Holmes will miss not just her brother, but her best friend. Carson is warmly remembered by his friends and classmates, and by many aunts, uncles and cousins across Canada and in Finland.
No service. Remember him by cooking or eating a fine meal, by going for a hike in the woods or a fast run down a ski hill, but most of all by hugging your loved ones.
