It is with the heaviest of hearts we announce the passing of our dear father, brother, uncle, and friend.
Cliff passed away peacefully at Duncan Hospice after a short battle with cancer, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Cumberland, he spent his youth in Cumberland and Lake Cowichan. Survived by his daughter Tracey (Victor), brother Len (Lynne), his sister Lorri (Roger), his nieces Jennifer (Bill) and Leela, his nephew Neil (Cathy) and his great nephews Tyler (Maddi), Kyle, Eben and Sawyer, as well as his girlfriend of 5 years, Susan. He was predeceased by his wife Sharon of 38 years and parents Buck and Doe.
Cliff was known as the family historian with a big heart, dry/cynical sense of humour and an old school rough and ready persona. If anything was worth doing for Cliff, it was worth overdoing.
Cliff was a kind, generous and loving man. Those who knew him couldn't help but love him and his infectious laugh.
He spent most of his work life in the bush, driving logging trucks on Vancouver Island. When he wasn't working he was BSing with the boys, hunting with his brother and nephews, or doing some project at the family cabin on Comox Lake.
Cliff loved a good family reunion as getting together with family was a favorite activity and couldn't resist getting up for the chicken dance!
Cliff touched the lives of whoever he knew. He will be missed by many, but is now at peace.
Online condolences may be made at www.hwwallacecbc.com. No service at this time, please watch for details for a later date when we can gather to celebrate his life. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Cowichan Hospice House.
