Clifford Williamson passed away peacefully, August 19, 2022, to join his late wife Viola Fern on their 55th Wedding Anniversary. Also, leaving his recently passed beloved dog Jeffrey. He is survived by his daughter Corrine Degraaf, her sister Karen and brother Robert Grattan, their spouses, grandchildren Shane and Aleasha, and great-grandson Braeden.
Born in Vancouver, BC, where he grew up with his brothers Ken, Leo, Victor and sister Pat.
In 1949 Cliff joined the Navy, sailed aboard the HMCS Athabaskan for 5 years and served in the Korean War. Met his wife in Victoria and relocated to Lake Cowichan, when he retired from Petro Canada in 1995. He worked different jobs over the years since the age of 15. He loved the sea, boats, fishing and taking road trips with his family. Some of his favourite adventures were to the California Coast, mid-west States and to the Grand Canyon. He was an avid bowler for years, loved being with his family and listening to Country Classics with his wife. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Service to be held at Lake Cowichan Christian Church, 10 King George St N., on September 23, 2022 at 1:00 pm. Reception to follow at Royal Canadian Legion, 15 North Shore Rd, at 3:00 pm. Parking behind Legion on Darnell Rd.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Broadmead Veteran's Lodge in Victoria, BC.
