It is with great sadness that the family of Corrine Taylor announces her passing, peacefully in her sleep at the age of 91 on May 19, 2020. Corrine was born in Yorkton, Sask and moved to the Island as a child with her parents George and Mildred Hauk. She met her future husband Danny Taylor in Duncan and they were married on Sept 18, 1947 and had 53 wonderful years together and raised 5 children.
Corrine was predeceased by her husband Danny in 2000 and her son Kevin in 2011. She will be lovingly remembered by her children Brad Taylor (Pat), Kathy Goodman (Len), Colin and Rick Taylor, as well as her grandchildren Mike Hearsey (Shannon), Chris Hearsey (Giselle) and Marnie Powers (Kurt). Also her great-grandchildren, Tyson, Aidan, Britnie, Cole and Linden. She is also survived by her step-grandchildren, Sherrie Therrien and family, Jamie Goodman and family and Sean Goodman and family.
Mom had a long and happy life with family always being the most important part, and had a passion for gardening and canning everything she could. Mom enjoyed her last few years at the Meadows Apartments where she made many new friends as well as meeting up with many longtime friends from over the years.
The family would like to thank the staff at Cairnsmore Place for looking after her so caringly over these last few weeks when our family was unable to be by her side due to visiting restrictions.
