A Maple Bay legend, Duffy, passed away on October 24, 2018 with her family by her side.

Duffy is survived by her daughter Kathleen Bonar (Len), son Brock Eayrs (Glenna), granddaughter Julia Mitchell (Robyn), and great grandchildren, Acacia, Ilah-Lu and Kahlio. Predeceased by her husband Arthur "Buzz" LeQuesne in 1991. Duffy is also survived by her loving extended family of David Bonar and family, Justin Bonar and family and Brad Bonar and family.

Duffy spent her early years in Cowichan Bay, Kitimat and Vancouver. She moved to Maple Bay in 1956. Maple Bay became her true home, where she worked at the Maple Bay Trading Post, Maple Bay Marina and Maple Bay Yacht Club. Many will remember her days as bartender at "Duffy's Bar" at the Yacht Club.

The family would like to thank Dr. Glen Robinson, and the staff at Sunridge Place, in particular, Jain, Arshdeep, Jenna, and Lisa.

At Duffy's request no service will be held.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like to mention that if you have a friend in care, that personal contact will help in their time of loneliness.
