June 19, 1935 - October 2, 2020
Paul, Dave Ahluwalia passed away peacefully October 2, 2020 in the Cowichan District Hospital. Dave was born in India on June 19, 1935 and moved to Canada in 1969 at age 34.
He first came to Campbell River but later settled in Duncan where he worked at the Crofton Pulp and Paper Mill for many years as a millwright. After retirement from the mill, Dave enrolled as a student at Malaspina College (VIU) where he became known as the most senior student to study there. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts with a Minor in English and Psychology in 2012 at age 77.
Many thanks to Dr Szabo and the staff on 2nd floor of the Cowichan District Hospital for the excellent care and attention given to Dave in the last month of his life.
A private service through HW Wallace Funeral Service was held. Dave will be missed by his wife, Veena, and other family and friends.
