In loving memory ~
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of David Edward James (aka: Rooster) on July 6, 2022, at the age of 61. Dave passed away peacefully at Cowichan District Hospital with his family by his side.
Dave was predeceased by his older brother Gary. He is survived by his parents Jerry and Kerpaul; brother Rick (Jas); nephews and nieces Jason, Scott, Stephanie (Phil), Jessica (Damian); great nephews and niece Mark, Milo, Sophie, and many other extended family and friends. Dave spent his life in the Cowichan Valley. He grew up in Honeymoon Bay and Lake Cowichan, then later moved to Duncan where he worked at the Cowichan Bay Sawmill for 38 years. Dave had a very kind heart, and he was always thoughtful, loving, and caring toward everyone he met. He will be greatly missed.
Dave has taken the stairway to heaven to be with family and friends gone before him - and we're sure they will have greeted him with quite a party. We know Dave is watching over us. May he rest in peace.
