David Wylie Grant

February 3, 1940 - December 1, 2022
David Wylie Grant of Duncan BC died December 1, 2022 at Cowichan District Hospital after a short illness at the age of 82 years.
Born in Pioneer Mine, BC, the only son of Wylie Spencer Grant and Catherine Christine Murray, David grew up in Lake Cowichan.
After two years at Simon Fraser University, he began work at the Youbou Mill, where he worked for the next 30 years, taking early retirement in 2001.
David's family and friends knew he had a special "twinkle". He enjoyed sports (especially BC Lions or Vancouver Canucks games), classical music, reading science fiction and fantasy, visiting with friends and family (especially over Brunch!).
David leaves his three sisters: Lorna (Bill) Orr, Mary (Hamilton) and Heather (Frank) Frederickson; seven nieces, and two nephews. He will be especially missed by niece Christine Eriksen and her family.
David was predeceased by sister Judy Mandryk.
