January 14, 1935 - July 7, 2018
Dennis Gregory Harley, born in Calgary January 14, 1935, departed July 7, 2018.

I leave behind Beverley, my wife of 60 years, twin sons, Guy (Claudette, Robert, Pam) Calgary, AB and Scott, Ponoka, AB and Daughter, Kris Harley-Jesson (Derren), Duncan BC. Grandson Braden Harley, Red Deer. AB. Sister's Patricia Munro (Gordon (deceased)), Marillyn Kliewer (Ken (deceased)) and twin brother Gerry Harley (Anne).

I had a varied career with the City of Calgary Electric System (Enmax) for 37 years, retiring January 1993. Five years with Camosun College instructing in their Electrical Trade program, and five years with The Standards Council of Canada's accreditation body.

I enjoyed time as a Leader with the Triwood 4th Elks Cubs & Scouts, and involvement with the Calgary Aquabelles, which led to being President of Lindsay Park Sports Centre (Repsol Sport Center).

Goodbye to my relatives, friends, and acquaintances; thanks for sharing my life in work and play, life was good.

At my request, there will be no funeral service or flowers. If you wish to donate in my memory, please consider the BC Cancer Agency or Cowichan Hospice House Project, raising funds to build a 10-bed hospice house, as currently there are only two beds in the valley.

The Family would like to thank the collaborative efforts of the physicians at Mill Bay Medical Centre, as well as Dr Sunil Parimi, Dr Cory Ramstead and the Nursing Staff at the Royal Jubilee & Cowichan District Hospital, for their care and kindness for Dad.
