Born October 23, 1928 in Morden, Manitoba. Passed away peacefully at Cairnsmore Place, August 16th, 2017. Don is survived by his wife Millie, daughter Lorette (Hammie) and sons Dan (Karen), Jeff (Francis), Paul and David (Diana). Don was very proud of his grandchildren: Kristin, Shannon, Scott, Shelby, Madelyn and Hailey; and great-granddaughter Aiden. Don and Millie settled in Lake Cowichan in the mid 60s where “Crash” drove off-road logging truck for BCFP at Caycuse. A move to Duncan was made after retirement in the late 80’s. Don loved flying his model airplanes with the boys in the Cowichan Valley and was an active MAAC (Model Aeronautics Association of Canada) member for over 50 years. Don was a hard working man, always quick with a smile and kind words. Don will be sadly missed by all who met and spent time with him.

Sands Funeral Home, 187 Trunk Rd. Duncan, BC on Thursday, August 24th at 2:00p.m.
