Douglas "Wayne" Schliekelman

August 7, 1943 - August 15, 2022
It is with great sadness we say goodbye to Wayne (Slick).
Slick joined the navy at age 17! His first port was Victoria, BC. When first stepping on BC soil he said, "I'm home!" and stayed!
Predeceased by his wife Donna, survived by his spouse Judy (step-daughter Kandi), daughter Deanna (Mark), son Carl, sisters Pat McMillen, Judy Galick (Larry), and Sharon Hauser (Ben), 3 grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and daughter in law Tanya.
His Riverbottom home and community of over 30 years, his cat Marble, best dog friend Gizmo, and many friends from near and far were his most valuable possessions.
Rest in peace Wayne, you will be missed! No funeral service but a Riverside send off is scheduled for Wednesday, September 7th 2022, 7pm at the river swimming gathering place.
