December 17, 1952 - July 8, 2018
On July 8th, 2018, Dwight Hans Bondesen left this earth. He was born December 17, 1952 in Sudbury, Ontario to Jim and Mildred Bondesen. In 1966 he moved to Victoria where he resided and worked in a number of professions including Gardener for twenty five years. He moved to the Cowichan Valley 5 years ago after retiring.
He battled many diseases over the years and eventually they won. Dwight will be remembered for his smile, outgoing personality and his stories. He would strike up a conversation with all that would listen. He loved to sit around the campfire and tell stories to the many children we knew, who have now become good friends of ours.
Dwight was predeased by his parents and his brother Larkin. He leaves behind his wife Linda, 'the kids' Sheila Bondesen, Cameron Bondesen (Suzy) and Jaime Sarginson (Bailey). Also survived by his brothers James (Sharon) and Michael (Sharie); his step brother and sisters Brian, Bonnie and Sharon; the loves of his life, his grand daughters Alexandra, Thea and Serenity; as well as his nieces and nephews, and many friends.
Many thanks to Dr. Valorie Masuda and Dr. Kim Grymaloski for their extraordinary care. A celebration of Dwight's life will take place at Duncan Community Lodge, 2244 Moose Rd, Duncan on July 21st, 2018 from 1 to 3 PM.
