Born in Victoria at Royal Jubilee Hospital on Sep 14,1943, sadly passed away in Duncan, BC at the Cowichan District Hospital on Feb 26, 2019.
GG is survived by his wife of 51 years, Pat Gurski, Sons Brent (Doralice) and Chad (Tammy). Brother, Len Gurski (Sandra). Grandpa will be missed by all his grandkids he loved deeply. T.J, Ben, Kyra and Will., as well as extended family. Predeceased by his parents Hugo and Johanna Gurski, niece Laura Kehler.
GG Lived his whole life in the Cowichan Valley with 38 of those years spent working at the Youbou Sawmill.
We would like to thank the amazing staff at Cowichan District Hospital that became our home for the last 3 weeks. Your love, care and sensitivity was always noticed and greatly appreciated. Dr. Terlein for your continued care and compassion for GG over the last few years is valued beyond anything you can imagine and crossed from Doctor to friend.
A service of remembrance for GG will be held at H.W. Wallace Cremation and Burial Centre, 5285 Polkey Road, on Sunday March 3, 2019 at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances may be made in the form of a donation to the Cowichan Valley Hospice Society, 3122 Gibbins Road, V9L 1G2 would be appreciated.
