The Shawnigan Lake Community Hall was our party hub - Ted was first on the dance floor and last to leave. In 1979-1984 Ted joined the Auxiliary Constable program for the Shawnigan R.C.M.P. He loved his Harleys, with Chris making the ultimate trek in 1990 from Shawnigan Lake to Manitoba down to Sturgis, South Dakota.
At the Cowichan Fish & Game Association Deena and Chris became excellent marksmen following tradition, Elyssa and Sarah know their way around firearms.
He taught Deena & Chris to drive motorcycles, Volkswagen Bug, scuba diving, water skiing, moose hunting, home steading on 10 acres in Cobble Hill without water for a time, most important how to hammer nails.
Ted was a wonderful family man, honest, hardworking, selling cargo / horse trailers for RTR sales. He loved to entertain by playing the spoons. His next best achievement was grandpa to Elyssa and Sarah. Ted enjoyed his rides with The Cowichan A.T. V Club, memories of hunting with his best buddies listening to Marty Robbins singing El Paso.
Ted, I would share your lifeboat / fox hole anytime Hon. Dad, we'll miss your wink, smile, laugh.
A good life lived.
