It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Elsa Woike-Zavarelli.
Mom was born in Neu-Hochstadt, Ukraine. She immigrated to Canada in 1954 where she married Reinhard Woike and raised two children.
After Reinhard's passing in 1988, she met and married Tony Zavarelli in 1991. They spent many years travelling the world and making many new friends.
Elsa slipped away on April 18, 2022 and is now at peace. She leaves behind to mourn, her husband Tony Zavarelli; his children: Mario (Adriana) Zavarelli, Rose (Leo) Zavarelli, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Elsa will also be dearly missed by her children: Victor (Debbie) Woike and Ellen Hearsey; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew her.
A small family service was held on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at Sands Funeral Chapel - Duncan. Interment was held at Mountain View Cemetery.
