Eunice Mae Sanderson passed away peacefully in her sleep, February 14, 2021.
She is survived by her sister Donna (Bud) son, David (Marie), and daughter Cheryl (Ed). Also grandchildren, Devon (Jason) and Heather (Ben), Maria (Andrew) and Lindsey (David). Great grandchildren, Ryan and Rachael, Violet and Noah.
She will be remembered fondly by all who new her.
She was born in Calgary AB January 24,1932 and then went on to live in various locations throughout B.C. But none could compare with her beloved Lake Cowichan. She was a genuinely kind and giving person, who thrived on her interaction with others. She knew everyone by name, and what gift made each one of them special.
On a pauper's budget, she was always there with a card or some small gift that you might have really wanted, but wouldn't buy for yourself. She liked to play games like cribbage or scrabble, but she new the goal was to win! She liked to knit, and crochet fine frilly things. Her canning skills were legendary, and if you were coming over, there was always pie.
Her relationship with her heavenly Father was very important to her, as we're sure it is to Him. One day soon we'll disperse her ashes over the waters of Cowichan Lake.
In lieu of flowers please donate to BC Heart and Stroke Foundation.
