William Ferris Robson, 32, died suddenly in his home on Monday, November 14, 2016.

Ferris was born on September 7, 1984 in Victoria, BC. The first 10 years of his life were spent on Pender Island until his family moved to the Cowichan Valley.

Ferris’ long blond hair and beard resembled that of a Viking, a striking contrast to his gentle and kind demeanour. Ferris was endlessly creative. He was a musician, a poet, and a stellar player of games. He dedicated his time and creativity to the local Scouting movement. Ferris was the kitchen manager at the Food Bank where he took pride in making some of the best soup in Duncan.

A devoted family man, Ferris was a loving husband, father, son, grandson, brother, step-father, and step-grandfather. He will be deeply missed by his parents Rennie and Bill (Demy); his loving wife Lisa and their son Malakai; his step-daughters Samara and Mariah; his step-grandchildren Mischa, Amelia, and Abigail; his two sisters Chloe (Ethan) and Brita (Tom); his grandmother Bunny Campbell (“Nangy”); as well as numerous loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

The family will hold a private service.

In lieu of sending flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Cowichan Valley Basket Society (the food bank) in his name and information on how to donate to the family can be found at www.sandsduncan.ca
