It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Francine Madison on Sunday, September 22, 2024, at the age of 90 at Cerwydden Care Centre.
Born and raised in Belgium, Francine immigrated to Duncan, BC, after World War II. She met and married her beloved husband of 69 years, William Madison, who predeceased her.
Francine was a dedicated employee at Cowichan District Hospital, where she worked for 22 years in the laundry department. She will be remembered as a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Francine's family was her greatest joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
Francine leaves behind her children: Linda McHugh, Lester (Debbie) Madison, and Mary (John) Howe, Julia Madison as well as her sister, Bertine Harrison.
She was predeceased by her husband, William, and her son, Joseph Madison.
She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who will dearly miss her.
A private family Graveside Service will be held at Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens.
