You are gone too soon. Missing you already are your siblings Diane, David and Carol; BFF Gail; and Husband, Friend and Confidant Peter. Also your many friends from the Cowichan and Old School Hikers. In your friendly, chatty manner you found your way into the hearts of all.
Never shy, never pretentious, you welcomed all with a friendly smile and “Hello.” You were always organized; never late; always generous and always thoughtful. You were steadfast in your choices. Always tea. Blueberries on your cereal. Always a ‘pit stop’ in the woods. As we hike the forest trails you so loved we will remember your trust in the leader, your determination on the hills, and your willingness to brave the swimming holes with your twisted noodle. We will miss your tales of adventure in the airline industry. Packing light! Singapore for lunch! Hawaii on a whim! Last flight to your Island home! Quadra Retreats will not be the same without you.
There is a lovely spot along a valley creek we have chosen as ‘Gail’s Spot’. See you there.
