Gary passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on September 18, 2024 in Duncan BC.
Born in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia, Gary was a dedicated family man and a proud member of the Canadian Armed Forces.
After graduating high school, Gary enlisted and spent many years serving his country, allowing him to travel to many places.
A passionate runner, Gary completed marathons in Berlin, Paris, and Victoria, BC.
Gary is survived by his beloved wife, Phyllis, his children Kiara MacLaren of Sorento, BC and Alan (Tamara) MacLaren of Sturgeon County, AB, and his treasured grandchildren Lauryn, Rebecca, and Adam.
