In loving memory ~
Geri Driver passed away peacefully at her home in Maple Bay on Thursday, October 6th, 2022, at the age of 79.
She suffered bravely through three spinal operations, and after many years of tenacity, finally gave in to the pain.
Geri was surrounded by her family; her loving husband of 61 years Harry, son Blair, daughter Lori-Anne, brother Randy (& wife Linda) and her grandchildren Chelsea (& husband Nicolas), Vance, Logan, and her extended family Sharon MacDonald and Dale Baltzer.
Geri was born in Edmonton Alberta in 1943, and in 1973 moved to the Cowichan Valley with her husband where they raised a family and grew a successful business. She was a driven and extremely hard-working woman; she was a keen traveller and also a gifted artist; instructing pottery lessons and designing two homes for her family. Through her life she showed fierce dedication to her family and in her later years displayed remarkable bravery and fortitude in the face of deteriorating health.
We would like to Thank Dr. Sanders, The Cowichan Hospice Palliative Care and The Community Health Nurses (East) for the care and incredible support that was shown.
