January 21, 1944 - February 23, 2019
Trudy was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She enjoyed many things growing up, from being a big sister to sports, especially bowling.
Trudy moved to the island with her husband (Bud) and two children in 1979 to be closer to her other family members. She loved to knit, crotchet, cook, bake and read.
When her children got older she worked outside the home, but her favourite job was being the door greeter at Walmart in Duncan. She was known as the "sticker and stamp" lady to the children. She always had a smile and a hug for everyone. She also helped Walmart collect money for many charities, and
always rode the "BIG" bike every year for the Heart & Stroke Foundation. Trudy was loved by many and will be missed by all.
Trudy is predeceased by her father William, her mother Jean, her brother John and her first husband Alfred.
She is survived by her daughter Angi Martin (Joel Jones), son Darrell Martin (Kelsey) and her grandchildren Aaron and Natashia Bowen, Damon Martin, and her partner Ray.
A Celebration of Life will be held on August 18, 2019 from 2-6 pm at Vimy Hall, Duncan, BC. We invite all who know her to come share her memories and stories.
