Passed away June 18, 2015 at Cowichan Lodge. He was 87 years old.
John was born in Buisse, France and lived most of his early years in Incino Rocca D’Arsie, Italy. In 1951 he immigrated to Canada.
John worked in Canmore, Alberta, Powell River and various jobs in the forest industry in the Cowichan Lake area including the Honeymoon Bay Saw Mill. He worked at the mill for 20 years until it closed. John was not ready to retire so he moved on to the March Meadows Golf Course in Honeymoon Bay where he worked as a grounds keeper.
John loved the outdoors. Spent many hours hunting, fishing, cutting firewood or tending his garden.
John was predeceased by his son Glen (1973). Survived by his wife Perina, son John (Terri), grandchildren Travis, Jaleesa and sister Lena in Italy.
