Our family is heartbroken to announce the sudden passing of Gordie. Predeceased by his parents, Bill and Hazel, and sisters Colleen and Sharon.
He leaves behind his wife Marg, children Tracy (Beth), Dean (Karen), Grandchildren Nathan, Courtney (Nathen), Brother Morris, Sister Judy, as well as their families.
Gordie was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and proud of his Irish and Norwegian heritage.
At the age of 15 he started his working life mostly in the bush. He worked hard and he played hard, gathering many friends along the way from Vancouver Island, Pemberton, Williams Lake, the Gulf Islands, and back.
A lover of old cars, specifically Lincoln's, Gordie was a member of The Vintage Car Club, and the Lincoln Zephyr Owners Club.
Gordie loved good food, and he loved to eat! He really loved was to have his family and friends around him, filling every seat and more at the dinner table.
He will be forever missed.
All of Gordie's family and friends are invited to join the Family for the burial which will be held at James Dougan Memorial Cemetery, 1445 Cowichan Bay Road in Cobble Hill, on Saturday August 21st at 1pm.
