Gordon Benjamin Griffiths, "Gord" was born in Duncan, BC on February 10, 1937. He passed away peacefully in Cowichan District Hospital on December 18, 2018 at the age of 81. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife Valri (Rowe), daughter Gina, sons Peter (Sandi) and Dean, daughter Julie, grandchildren Damon (Amy), Matthew and Holly and great grandchildren Isla, Emilie and Jack.
Son to John Wood "Jack" and Lila Griffiths, Gord attended primary school with his twin brother Gary at Queen Margaret's and graduated from Cowichan High. After brief forays into timber cruising and lead/zinc mining in Prince Rupert, Gord took over the family business J.W.Griffiths Ltd. started by his father. He enjoyed fishing trips to Barkley Sound and Tom's Lake with his friends and bird hunting trips to Riske Creek. He also enjoyed cooking special meals for his family and his daily cribbage games with Valri.
Gord will be truly missed by all those who knew him.
