Gordon (Butch) Aikenhead, age 76, of Cache Creek, BC passed away suddenly on September 3rd, 2016 in the 100 Mile Hospital. He leaves behind his loving wife Gaynor of 53 years, his brother Peter (Joan) Aikenhead, sisters Elinor Kernachan, Lois Atchison, Cheryl (Glenn) Mackie, Carole (Jack) Amo, sister-in-law Margaret (Jay) Chancey of McKinleyville California and is predeceased by his brother Don (Heather). He also leaves behind the love of many nieces and nephews. Living most of their lives on Vancouver Island, Butch worked for many years for Chemainus Towing. He also spent a great deal of time and success showing Quarter horses along side Gaynor.
