It is with great sadness we announce Gudrun Myran passed away peacefully to be with her beloved husband of 59 years, David, parents, Haagen and Marit, and sisters Margrete and Ingeborg.
Gudrun will be deeply missed by her son Glen David, daughter Anne Margret (Luigi), grandchildren Adam, Isak, and Raymond.
Gudrun maintained a strong connection to her homeland of Norway. She is survived by her lifelong friends Hanna, Solveig and Bjarne who she last visited in 2017.
Gudrun immigrated to Canada in May 1955 with her husband of 11 months and settled in Wells BC. She moved to Vancouver Island in the summer of 1956 where she was a devoted homemaker and mother until her passing.
Gudrun was a member of the Moose Lodge for over 20 years and spent many hours working alongside David in the workshop contributing to community projects.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
