Seifert, Heidi passed away peacefully on the snowy evening of January 14, 2020. Heidi was born on June 23,1933 in Bobischau, Silesia, Germany and was predeceased by her beloved husband Frank in 2006. Loving mother to Marian (Joe), Martin (Robin), Christine (Paulo) and Carol (Gary). Dear Oma to 7 grandsons Max, Sam, Erich, Alexander, Christopher, Nicholas and Matthias. She will be sadly missed by her sisters Hilda, Val and brothers Friedrich, Georg and Bernhard. Predeceased by Max, Franz, and Christa.
In 1955 Heidi immigrated to Canada with her husband and settled in Edmonton where their 4 children were born. In 1966 they moved to the Cowichan Valley where they raised their family. When her children were grown, Heidi enjoyed caring for young ones in her home. She also had a great love for gardening, and shared her passion with others by arranging flowers at St. Edwards Catholic Church and Sunridge Home. Special thanks to the kind and caring staff at Delta View Enrichment Centre in Ladner, where Heidi lived since September 2019.
Heidi will be greatly missed, and will remain forever in our hearts.
Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday February 29 at 10:00 am in St. Edwards Roman Catholic Church, 2085 Maple Bay Road Duncan.
