A kind and gentle soul, Harry left us on December 06, 2016. He was born in London, England on February 21, 1931 and was the eldest of 7 children. Harry grew up during WWII, which had its own challenges, and Harry learned to be quite resourceful. In 1952, with a journeyman’s ticket in hand, Harry immigrated to Canada. From 1954- 1964, he was enlisted in the Royal Canadian Navy. He then worked for, and retired from, BC Hydro. Harry met the love of his life, Esme, they married in 1956, and together raised 4 children. Harry’s other passions included singing and performing on stage (he could always be heard singing or whistling), soccer (football, please!), fishing, and his family and friends. He had a wonderful sense of humour, and always was laughing and joking. Harry and Esme enjoyed travelling and they managed to visit many foreign ports and exotic locations. He loved his family and was proud of all his, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Harry leaves behind Esme, his beautiful wife of 59 years; his children Ken (Annie), Jim (Lisa), Lynda (Don), David (In-Suk); his 9 grandchildren Christopher, Danielle (Chris), Randy, Katherine, Matthew, John, Jasmine (Kyle), Denby, and Sarah; and his 2 great-grandchildren Andrea and Joshua. A Celebration of Life will be held in the Spring. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the BC Heart & Stroke Foundation
