Survived by wife Sandy, children Susanne, Gabriele, Martin, Bernadette, Stephanie and Caroline. 13 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren.
Herb came to Vancouver from Germany and found work with Cleland-Kent as a graphic artist then onto Crown Forest products into his retirement in '83. Later he met and swooned Sandy with a clever ad in the West Ender newspaper of'86. Together they found happiness and moved to Mesachie Lake where they continued to live up until May of 2019.
Herb was a talented and multi-faceted artist who had gained the respect of many. His last few months were in Saanich Penninsula Hospital with Sandy near him.
