Irene passed peacefully away. She was predeceased by her son Jack just 8 months before.
She is survived by her husband Eric, of 66 years, her daughter Elaine, son-in-law Todd; and her three grandchildren, Rhianon, Evan and Shaelagh.
She is also survived by 4 sisters and multiple nieces and nephews in Canada, England, and Australia. Irene led a full life.
She was loving, hard working, a wonderful cook, seamstress, knitter, gardener, and sang in choirs.
She volunteered with many organizations; especially those with ties to Rudolf Steiner.
She taught, fundraised, and also worked with the BioDynamic farming community in Ontario.
Her dedication and dry sense of humour (up until the end) will be deeply missed.
A celebration of her life will take place at 11:00 am on October 21 at HW Wallace Cremation and Burial Centre.
Irene donated to many causes, but one of her favorites was Doctors Without Borders, so, in lieu of flowers, a donation to them would be truly appreciated.
