Isabel was born in Swinton, England and lived in London during World War II where she worked at Canada House and was a firefighter during the Blitz. She was married to Aubrey Milner in 1943 and moved to Vancouver Island in 1951 with their 2 young children, Martin and Rosalind. They lived in Fairbridge for the first 2 years and then moved to Cherry Point where they added 2 more children, Frances and Kevin, to their family. Following Aubrey’s death in 1966, Isabel not only had to learn to drive but now had to work outside the home to support her family. Isabel retired from the Ministry of Attorney General in Duncan in 1986. Isabel was an avid reader and knitter and not only knit for all her family but also for friends’ and neighbours’ families. After living in Cherry Point for 45 years, Isabel moved to Victoria. Isabel is survived by her children Martin Milner (Jan), Rosalind Goulet (Russ), Fran Harper (Jack) and Kevin Milner (Janelle). Grandchildren Gillian Keeble, Jeff Keeble (Wendy), Adam Milner (Julia), Devin Milner, Evan Harper and Justine Harper. Great grandchildren Sam Keeble, Megan Keeble, Lucas Tufford, Nicholas Tufford, August Milner and Franky Milner.

The family would like to thank the staff at The Heights at Mount View for the exceptional care Isabel received. The family will gather next month to celebrate her life.
