It is with great sadness that we say good-bye to our mom, Isobel Clara Hartl.
Mom was born November 5, 1937 to Harold Reuben and Clara Francis Maude Hamilton, in Dunnville, Ontario. Mom was predeceased by both parents, brothers Basil, William and Herbert and daughter Sheila.
Mom’s love of adventure took her around the world. She walked the Great Wall of China, she wailed in Jerusalem and was present at the tearing down of the Berlin Wall. She lived her life through her love of God, opening her heart to all. Working many years at Glendale Lodge until its closing, volunteering with many organizations including Mustard Seed, Open Door and the Mentoring Inmates Program.
Mom loved her whole family. She is survived by; her daughter Susan (Kevin) Gates, and families: Jonathon (Dêsirea) with Lillian; Ava and Leilani; Eduard (Amanda) with Hailey and Joshua; Anthony (Ashley) with Andrew, daughter Donna (Wayne) Relke and families: Lisa (Dan) with Samuel and Sophia; Cathy (Neil) with Sawyer, daughter Cheryl (Doug) Erickson and families: Jason (Jessica) with Alexa, Marissa and Trevor; Jeremy (Kelsey) with Kori; Jess (Eli) with Xander and Mia.
Mom knew the end of the story and always said “In a twinkling of an eye we’ll be together again”.
