Janet Barr Turner passed away peacefully at the Cowichan District Hospital with her devoted son Sandy by her side. Janet was born in Scotland and immigrated to Canada in 1967 and married Alex Turner. They took up residence in Youbou where she enjoyed the role of homemaker and mother to the joy of her life, her son Sandy.
Janet was a history buff and enjoyed the royal family.
She was predeceased by her husband Alex, her step children Bonnie Tate and Danny Turner. Along with her son Sandy, she is survived by her step daughter Sharon Turner Bell, grandchildren, nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.
A special thanks to the caring staff at the Cowichan District Hospital, Youbou Volunteer Fire Department and Ambulance attendants. There will be no service by request.
