Joane was born March 26, 1924 in New Westminster, B.C. to Amelia (Lowe) and George Bugden. Joane peacefully passed away at Cairnsmore Place on June 22, 2016. She was predeased by her parents, her husband Garnet, her brother Douglas, her sister in-law, Cathy Bugden. Joane is survived by her brother Stanley (Sharon), six sister-in-laws: Irma, Blanche, Audrey, Ruby, Zella and Maizie. Daughters: Carroll (Frank Reekie), Phylis (Raymond Forbes), Cathy (Royce Ludvigson), Susan ( Mike Tomlinson), Sons: Archie (Judy), Bob (Judy), and Ian. As well, Joane is survived by 15 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandson, nieces, nephews and friends. Joane and her husband Garnet moved to Cobble Hill / Cowichan Bay area in 1954 from Port Alberni. She spent many years raising her family and working in various restaurants in the Duncan area. She retired at the age of seventy from Brentwood College where she had worked for twenty-five years. Joane enjoyed crocheting, gardening , her dog (Tibby) , and visiting with family. She will be greatly missed, forever loved and remembered by her family. Rest in peace, Mom. No service by request.
