John Frederick Cowley 86 years. born November 12, 1930 in Ridgetown Ontario.

John passed away peacefully at Acacia Ty Mawr Lodge, Shawnigan Lake, B.C. on September 10, 2017

Beloved husband of the late Marion Edith Cowley (nee Jones) 1991

Loving dedicated Son of Frederick George Cowley (1999) and Marie (nee Elizabeth Waffle) Cowley 1987

Dearest father of sons Robert Cowley Windsor Ontario and the late Douglas Cowley (2006) and daughter Janice Cowley of Crofton B.C. and son-in-law Derek Stainthorpe (2006), Dearest brother to Joanne Holdsworth, Carol Nosella (Tom), Dick Cowley (Mary) and Kenneth Cowley (2009), Brother-in-law of Betty Matheson of Etobicoke. Predeceased by sister-in-law's Peggy (Burt Forbes)and Doreen (Larry Sauve) and brother-in-law Bill Jones and wife (Vi).

Loving grandfather dearly missed by Jennifer, Michael, Breeann, Talis, Keenan, and Chance plus great granddaughters Hailey, Addyson and Chelsea and great grandson Mitchell. Numerous nieces and nephews and cousins in Ontario will miss him dearly.

Mr. Cowley was a retired Auto Mechanics teacher at Riverside Secondary School after years as a mechanic at Eddie Lee's Marine and as an auto worker at Chryslers. He had a passion for boating, bird watching and nature.

He will be remembered for his dedication to his job and community and his love of family. He will be sadly missed.
