John Rozwadowski, born in Lubranki, Poland on October 20, 1919, passed away peacefully in Eden Gardens in Nanaimo, BC on September 8, 2018. John immigrated to Canada in 1929, moving to Fort William in his 20's, working during the war at Canada Car building planes. It was there that he met his future wife Florance Potter. They were married in 1943 and moved to Red Rock where he worked at Domtar. He retired in 1980 and moved to Duncan, BC where he resided until 2018. John enjoyed camping, fishing and exploring BC with a group of friends. He was a member of the United Church, Royal Canadian Legion, and volunteered at the local food bank and Meals on Wheels.

The memories of John will be treasured in the lives of his son Jack (Elaine), daughter Diane (Chris) Larsen, brother Walter (Emily), sister-in-law Jean. John will be remembered by his grandchildren Cathy (Brad), Doug (Lisa), Ryan (Colette), Trevor (Emily), and great- grandchildren Carli, Mackenzie, Alexander, Berry, Ethan, Hailie, Jamie Larsen, Leanne and Christian Larsen, and numerous nieces and nephews.

John was predeceased by his loving wife Florance and his parents Lucas and Mary and his brother Joe.

A Memorial service will be held at Sands Funeral Chapel Duncan 187 Trunk Road, Duncan BC V9L 2P1, September 20, 2018 at 2:00 pm.
