It is with the greatest sadness and shock that we announce the sudden passing of John William Ellis on March 11, 2017 in Victoria, B.C. John is survived by his wife Amanda, daughter Ffion, son Evan, parents Marler and Muriel, brothers Ron (Rae) and Guy, as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family. He was predeceased by his brother Bobby. John enjoyed golfing, camping, spending time with his family, beer, good food and a good laugh. He worked as a dedicated salesman for Russell Food Equipment for many years, travelling often to work in the Cowichan Valley, and will be fondly remembered and missed by his coworkers and customers. John was a loving father, husband and friend, and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. A celebration of John’s life will be held at a later date.
