FENMOR-COLLINS, John William passed away on June 27, 2017, in Duncan, BC. He was born in Birmingham, England, on August 18, 1929. John trained aboard the cadet ship, HMS CONWAY in North Wales, and went on to serve as an o cer in the Royal Navy, Royal Naval Reserve and the Merchant Navy. Ashore, John worked for the Port of London Authority and British Waterways before retiring to Vancouver Island. He was Chairman of the Vancouver Island Branch of the Royal Naval Association, President of Cowichan Rugby Club, an active member of Malahat Lodge and Tzouhalem Chapter, and was also a member of the Conway, Worcester, Pangbourne Association and the Royal Canadian Legion. A Ceremony of Life Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, September 12, 2017, at St. Edward’s Church, Duncan.
