Born in Watson, SK on August 2, 1926, Joe passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, July 27, 2017, just one week prior to his 92nd birthday. He was a loving and cherished father, grandfather, great-grandfather and soon to be great great-grandfather. He was a proud Veteran of WWII where he trained as a paratrooper. He spoke often of his service and proudly wore his medals every November 11th. His love for music was strong which he shared with his family and friends, playing steel guitar, harmonica and dobro in numerous bands. Fond memories of music in our home as friends and family gathered often with their instruments for jam sessions.

Joe will be forever remembered, loved and missed by his brother; Lawrence Kuzyk, his children; Sheela Brigden, Stacey Kuzyk (Range), Lana Hiscock (Harold), Douglas Kuzyk (Sherri), grandchildren; Crystal Brigden, Tanya Brigden, Jared Kraft, Shannon Kraft, Braedon Kuzyk, Koby Bujdoso, Morgan Hiscock, Harrison Hiscock, Devon Hiscock, Dahlen Cook, Shayla Kuzyk and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He will also be missed by his near and dear friend of 63 years and partner in crime, Barry Worth.

Joe was predeceased by his first wife Gloria Kuzyk, daughter; Selena Kraft, sons-in-law; Dwaine Brigden, Frank Kraft and his siblings; Cornelius Kuzyk, Walter Kuzyk, Bertha Boychuk, Caroline Cassidy and Alexander Kuzyk.

A memorial service will be held Friday, August 18, 2017 at 11:00 am, Sands Funeral Chapel, 187 Trunk Rd with a Celebration of Life to follow at Eagles Hall, 2965 Boys Rd. Dad expressed that he would like his life remembered with a party; please join our family in remembering him with live music, stories, love and laughter.

On the day we lost you, we lost a father, a friend, an idol and our champion who we looked up to. We miss you Dad.
